Already as a child, Iasmina Mot brought
all lost animals she came across home.

Report aid project 156 – June 2022.

October 26, 2022 - Total donated as of July 31: 5,535 eurosv

In spring, most animal helpers start preparing for the following winter.

Then it is clear what all went wrong in the past season.

What urgently needs to be remade, ordered, purchased. And the worries start immediately because all euros have invariably been spent on straw and winter fodder.

The animals had to be given a double portion of food and a thick layer of straw, otherwise they would not survive the frosty winter months.

Iasmina Mot of First Hope Animal Rescue was also very concerned in May.

The land was flooded in a heavy shower, there were not enough kennels and the roofs of the dog houses had seen better days.

But then the donors of Dierennood took action. And this week we received a summary of the state of affairs.

Iasmina is terribly relieved. Oh, there's still plenty to do and plenty to do, but her greatest worries are over for a while.

Ten trucks with gravel have been brought. The bottom was full of deep pits that the dogs used to lie in this summer. But one downpour in the fall and it becomes dangerous to walk for people and animals.

Actually, there could be ten more trucks because the shelter is so big. But that won't happen anymore.

Iasmina has ordered and already paid enough straw to get through the winter.

She has been able to pay some workers. This allowed various repairs to be carried out. The electricity bill has been paid. And, importantly, the vet bill.

There is already a stock of dry and wet food for 2 months.

And, she says with a worried face, she still has 2000 euros left. That may seem like a lot, but only one thing has to be done and the money is gone.

“I fear the day when there is no more money. I don't know how to get through the winter with all the animals. There are hardly any donations.”

But then her face brightens up again:

“Thank you so much again, for your help.....if it was not for you and your help, i don't what would happened...”

You're welcome, Iasmina. Let's hope for all people and all animals that the coming winter will be mild.
